The course is equivalent to two GCSEs A*-C and would lead on the BTEC National Level 3 Music Practice (Performing) offered in the Sixth Form. It is the ideal course for students who are interested in sound production, recording techniques and music technology rather than performing and composing. Students would be expected to participate in extra curricular music activities. It is intended that the students would be involved in recording GCSE / BTEC performances and doing the sound for concerts to develop skills learnt during the course.
